CULTI MILANO. THE CULTURE OF AMBIENCE

CULTI MILANO was born of an intuition from the eclectic mind of Alessandro Agrati: namely his perception, which was incredibly ahead of its time, that spaces and objects might have their own scent too; that it was possible to surround oneself with olfactory quality, in addition to beautiful things in pleasant rooms. It was 1988 when Agrati embarked upon his personal research into the link between the design world and the world of the senses, something that would revolutionise the very way in which people experience spaces and objects.

This inspired the name CULTI. The project, interweaving culture and style, has over the past 30 years followed a carefully-crafted creative pathway, leading it to become a brand with a distinctly personal spirit. Personal like culture, which is moulded from our everyday experiences. Personal like a scent, with the power to conjure up memories. For indeed, CULTI is much more than a home fragrance.

CULTI offers a completely new concept of perfumery: bouquets are unnecessary when we have access to such incredibly simple and recognisable fragrances, like the unique inimitable raw materials given to us by nature and by Italy.

Each fragrance is carefully designed by the Olfactory Laboratory to be unique and timeless, but also to be able to harmonise in a remarkable, deliberate way with all the other fragrances, while offering people their own precious chance to choose which scent to breathe in around them or on their most beloved objects, which memory to experience. Rattan sticks are the natural progression of this approach. The system was first invented by CULTI in 1990, to allow us to be constantly accompanied by our chosen scent in every room. Along with the bottle, which recalls traditional milk bottles, the rattan sticks became elegant, simple, scented iconic design pieces: and there you have it, the Culture of ambience.

Care for our surroundings and for the connection between our space and our senses takes on a higher meaning at Dynamo Camp. This is a Recreational Therapy camp devised especially to allow children with serious illnesses to feel like kids again.
